Biography:
Anna Grocholsky is a Materials Scientist with management and creative problem solving qualifications, and over 15 years experience and expertise in industry and academia. Anna has successfully transitioned her career from technical science and product development to a greater focus on Intellectual Property (IP) management, first in-house at James Hardie Building Products. Licensing interested her and the opportunity to take the role of Business Development Manager at the University of Sydney soon followed.
In September 2006, Anna established the first Intellectual Property Unit at the University of Sydney where she managed a comprehensive and significant IP portfolio. This role incorporated IP and commercialisation strategy, finance and budget modelling, and post agreement compliance.
Anna sees her role as enabling clients to understand IP by providing practical, prompt strategic advice, giving her them a competitive edge.
