Abstract: In his talk Prof Vassil Vassilev will present the lessons and achievements of the work of his team he has been leading over the last several years during working on a number of projects of the Cyber Security Research Centre of London Metropolitan University executed in collaboration with Lloyds Banking Group in London and the GATE Institute of Sofia University in Bulgaria. Prof. Vassilev will focus on the evolution of data processing paradigms from the desktop to the cloud and the most recent trend in data processing - building distributed data spaces as an alternative of the centralization. After laying down the foundation of his approach to integration, based on containerization, orchestration and hybridization of the methods for data management and data analysis, he will focus on the recent additions to the data platforms. They are tailored specifically to support the role of data platforms as both provider and consumer of services within the data space: identity management, authentication and access control, monitoring and orchestration, event logging and auditing.
